Michigan Helps Medical Team is a Jackson Michigan based medical and dental team working in partnership with Helps International to bring medical services to rural Guatemala.
The Michigan Team has been providing care to the Mayan people of the highlands and southwestern coastal area of Guatemala since 1994. Each year we take a team of doctors, nurses, dentists, allied health professionals and support staff to provide general surgery, gynecological surgery, eye and dental care, plastic surgery, medical clinics and construction of cooking stoves for Guatemalan people in need. All care is free of charge.

We are now calling for volunteers to Michigan Medical Team 2010.
Trip date is February 6 to 17, 2010.
Cost is $1,800.00 per member.
Some financial aid may be available at a later date.
Place of assignment: Uspantan or Nebaj. Final place will be sent later.
HELPS has requested new signed and dated forms be submitted for each trip. If you have an application on file, with no changes, put your name on the application form, write no changes. If you have any changes make the appropriate change on the form. All other forms must be renewed along with appropriate licenses, certifications, etc. See attached forms.
Payment due dates:
First Deposit: Up to $600.00 with application or no later than December 6, 2009
Second Deposit: by January 6, 2010.
Final Amount Due: by January 23, 2010.
Those who have sent in forms since our last trip, we have them on file and you have been added to the Team 2010 list.
